New game - following from Kamis suggestion

I mentioned Warhammer: Space Marine a while back. Just picked up my discs from shop. (Got big bonuses from pre-order with loyalty card and free T-shirt, claimed I had asked for collectors edition instead of basic- Suckas). Anyway, I will be doing a new gamer tag for it. Not quite decided what it will be yet. Good thing is from the trailers I saw months ago (featuring Angels of Death chaper) they have gone for Ultramarine instead, So AOD won't be monpolising that clan name (if it has them). Also my copy comes with armour pack, so when I am able it look out for the Spacewolve marine kicking butt. (hopefully). I will still be on Prej. I would have to say that I got S8 originally as it did seem like Space Marine (jet pack , techno armour and futuristic weaponary). At the time it was the closest thing. I have been waiting for this game for years. Think mentioned before I have Fire Warrior.

There is a conquest sort of mode. It is over quickly if one side gets the advantage, combat is faster than in prejudice and it also has level based unlocks. Not to mention a lack of dedicated servers so it is all based off how good this random persons connection happens to be, not server browser either so you just close your eyes and hope.


That at least seems to be the impression I have gotten off a few games.

I think ill buy skyrim insted.

I dont like the idear of a 3rd person multiplayer game,

I dont mind it when it comes to single player. but for multiplayer is first or nothing for meh.

Has a feel of Gears of War to it in single player. As for MP, not much trouble getting on a game but the lag is awful sometimes. And half the players insist on talking all through it. So all I can hear is crap in my headphones. As such I either dont get a single kill or I dont do too bad given I havent unlocked much yet. but on the whole I would have to say if you grew up (or still growing up) with Warhammer40K it kicks butt. A lot of ppl on steam forum have said about the various issues but all still come back to the fact that YOUR A SPESS MAHREEEEEN!!!! Gonna give it another go, but reduce some of the setting, see if it will help speed it up.

Update on space marine>
Still struggling with really really really bad lag. Still no dedicated servers. Forever get jumps and 'waiting for host' message. Also some games just go on and on. Anihilation is first team to 41 kills. I was playing a game tonight that had 0/2 and didnt change, so just kept going. We were killing and being killed though. No idea why it does this. Not first time either. Single player game ok but not worth the money on own. Some ppl have no lag issues as match making seems to give them ppl close and decent PC as host. Has promise though. Changing settings did sod all. Seems even big devs like THQ can make a balls up of a simple FPS. Maybe them and TG should get together, may get an actual decent game between them.
